In Smaskrutham the letter GO has two meanings. One is "A Ray of Light of Eternal Divine Wisdom" of the Primordial Shinning Conscience. In OM Universe, Maha Vishnu possess the full divine conscience and he is the creator.
The cow in the occult symbolism indicates Light or the consciousness—white indicates the purified or spiritual consciousness—the white Light. It is quite clear; it is the Vedic image. In the Veda the Cow is the Divine Light—the white Cow is the pure Consciousness in which there is the Light. The milk is the Knowledge and Power descending from the divine Consciousness. The Cow usually means the Higher Consciousness. Perhaps the calf indicates the truth of the higher consciousness (white) in the physical (red). The white calf is the sign of a pure and clear consciousness,—the cow or calf being the symbol of Light in the consciousness, something psychic or spiritual that you felt natural and intimate to you and inseparable. The vision of the cows must have taken place in the psychic world. It has also a symbolic significance. The sun is the symbol of the Divine Truth, the cows are its powers, rays of the sun, sources of true knowledge, true feeling, true experience. Milk is always the symbol of the flow of the higher consciousness.
Gu (gavaḥ) and go (gāvaḥ) bear throughout the Vedic hymns this double sense of cows and radiances. In the ancient Indian system of thought being and consciousness were aspects of each other, and Aditi, infinite existence from whom the gods are born, described as the Mother with her seven names and seven seats (dhāmāni), is also conceived as the infinite consciousness, the Cow, the primal Light manifest in seven Radiances, sapta gāvaḥ. The image of the Cow is the most important of all the Vedic symbols. For the ritualist the word go means simply a physical cow and nothing else. Vedic hymns to the Dawn makes it perfectly clear that the cows of the Dawn, the cows of the Sun are a symbol for Light and cannot be anything else. Sayana himself is obliged in these hymns to interpret the word sometimes as cows, sometimes as rays,– careless, as usual of consistency; sometimes he will even tell us that gauḥ like ṛtam, the word for truth, means water. As a matter of fact it is evident that we are meant to take the word in a double sense, “light” as the true significance, “cow” as the concrete image and verbal figure.
Usha is described repeatedly as the Mother of the Cows. If then the cow is a Vedic symbol for the physical light or for spiritual illumination the phrase must either bear this sense that she is the mother or source of the physical rays of the daylight or else that she creates the radiances of the supreme Day, the splendour and clarity of the inner illumination. But we see in the Veda that Aditi, the Mother of the gods, is described both as the Cow and as the general Mother; she is the Supreme Light and all radiances proceed from her. Psychologically, Aditi is the supreme or infinite Consciousness, mother of the gods, in opposition to Danu or Diti the divided consciousness, mother of Vritra and the other Danavas – enemies of the gods and of man in his progress. In a more general aspect she is the source of all the cosmic forms of consciousness from the physical upwards, the seven cows, sapta gāvaḥ, are her forms and there are, we are told, seven names and seven seats of the Mother. Usha as the mother of the cows can only be a form or power of this supreme Light, of this supreme Consciousness, of Aditi.
Sun is the visible Primordial Conscience for us on earth. Any circular object is of 360 degrees in Geometry. 360 degrees/ 108 rays = 3.3333333... Each ray is called as a Go Matha. So total we have 108 Go Mathas. Here the eternal knowledge is represented as feministic force who possess all the eternal knowledge. Her name is ADITI. Vishnu is blessed by Aditi, so he is blessed with full divine conscience. Aditi's son is Aditya meaning Sun. Any one who possess 108 Go Mathas are Aditya. The COW symbolically represents as “Light of Wisdom” which is essential and crucial for understanding the eternal knowledge for transcending.
The second meaning of GO is an animal called COW and also called as Go Matha. The symbolic attributes of cow is pure white in color, healthy, healthy milk buds which can give lots of milk and also capable of generating as many calfs as possible. It represents purity as well. Practical benefits are many in olden times.
It is very very difficult to understand the creation of this universe and its intricate workings. To attain Vishnu, we need to at least one Go Matha(Divine Wisdom). In older days, Rishis had dilemma, how to convey the eternal wisdom to common people. They used Cow as an example to understand the basic meaning of it, then understand the real meaning of what Go Matha means in Sanathana Dharma.
So the animal Cow is not sacred in any way and also it not God. Due to our ignorance and lack of deeper understanding, many Hindus pray to COW as god. When we see an animal cow, we should understand the symbolic and internal meaning of it. Not to treat it as God.
The quest of a Yogi or Rishi is to perform yogic practices to receive an Eternal Go Matha.
Kamadhenu
Kamadhenu also known as Surabhi (सुरभि, Surabhī), is a divine bovine-goddess described as the mother of all cows. She possess all the eternal knowledge in this Universe and represents the collective wisdom of Thri Moorthis and mother of all cows. Rishis perform Yagna to receive at least one Go Matha. Kamadhenu emerged as the 5th item in Samudra Manthanam.
In olden days a person’s wealth was also represented by number of cows and land he owns. A king will call for Yagnam to be performed in his Kingdom for blessing of Gods. Especially during very difficult situations like draught and protection from natural calamities. Yogic Rishis will perform this ritual with purity to receive the eternal boons from Indra, who is the God of Rains. At the end of the Yagnam, Indira will be satisfied and presents the performers and the King with boons in the form of Cows, Rain and Grains. In a symbolic gesture, the King gives Daanam to Rishis 1 or 108 healthy cows, land to cultivate and grains to eat. All are satisfied.
All Gods in a Go Matha
Vedas - Angirasa Maharshi and His Cows
Rig Veda Anuvaakam 2 Suktham 4
Rishi Vaiswayathra Madhuchandhunda, Devatha Indra, Chandhas Gayathri
Slokam 2: Ohh Indra you love soma rasam. Have as much as you want, if you are happy, you bless us with COWs.
Angiras means the radiant one or the one with a radiant body. This where the great secret lies. He is the author of Mundaka Upanishad. This Rigvedic hymns refer to sage Angirasa who received several cows as a gift from Lord Indra after he released them from the demons, known as Panis, who held them in captivity. Meaning this Maharshi received many Lights of Wisdom.
Disciple Saunaka, asks Angiras, Oh Guru “what is that by the knowing of which all this becomes known?"
Angiras replies that there are two kinds of knowledge, and a seeker should acquire them both. They are called the lower knowledge and the Higher Knowledge. The lower knowledge includes the teachings of all the Vedas (the sections dealing with rituals and sacrifices) and their auxiliaries; it endows a man with knowledge of the manifested universe and enables him to enjoy material prosperity on earth and happiness in heaven.
By means of the Higher Knowledge one realizes the Imperishable Truth. Brahman is the goal of the Higher Knowledge, is the ultimate cause of the Universe and all beings. The aspirant for Immortality must obtain the Knowledge of Brahman, by means of which, alone, can he conquer time, space, and death.
The discipline for the intuitive knowledge is the practice of truthfulness, chastity of body and mind, and concentration. This knowledge cannot be attained through mere study of the scriptures or through intellect, nor by one who is weak, slothful, or attached to worldly values.
Why it is Impossible to Receive 108 Go Mathas?
How to perceive this reality? For example, a chessboard has 64 squares. Take a penny and double it every square. By the time you reach the 64th square, the entire money on earth will be no where close to this number. The formula is 2 power(n-1).
2 power (108-1) = Infinity. OM universe have this kind of conscience and also many Gods dont possesses this power. Every ray or cow you receive, the Eternal Knowledge doubles like chess board problem.
Krishna can bless you, if you are eligible for his grace.

Translation
Now Kṛṣṇa is standing somewhere counting His cows on a string of gems. He wears a garland of tulasī flowers that bear the fragrance of His beloved, and He has thrown His arm over the shoulder of an affectionate cowherd boyfriend. As Kṛṣṇa plays His flute and sings, the music attracts the black deer’s wives, who approach that ocean of transcendental qualities and sit down beside Him. Just like us cowherd girls, they have given up all hope for happiness in family life.
Śrī Kṛiṣṇa dressed Himself in new clothing and then went out to call the cows home. “For each of the four colors of cows — white, red, black and yellow — there are twenty-five subdivisions, making a total of one hundred colors. And such qualities as being colored like sandalwood-pulp tilaka [speckled] or having a head shaped like a mṛdaṅga drum create eight further groups. To count these 108 groups of cows, distinguished by color and form, Kṛṣṇa is using a string of 108 jewel-beads.…
“Thus when Kṛiṣṇa calls out ‘Hey Dhavalī [the name of a white cow],’ a whole group of white cows comes forward, and when He calls ‘Haṁsī, Candanī, Gaṅgā, Muktā‘ and so on, the twenty-four other groups of white cows come. The reddish cows are called Aruṇī, Kuṅkuma, Sarasvatī, etc., the blackish ones Śyāmalā, Dhūmalā, Yamunā, etc., and the yellowish ones Pītā, Piṅgalā, Haritālikā, etc. Those in the group with tilaka marks on their foreheads are called Citritā, Citra-tilakā, Dīrgha-tilakā and Tiryak-tilakā, and there are groups known as Mṛdaṅga-mukhī [mṛdaṅga-head], Siṁha-mukhī [lion-head] and so on.
“Thus being called by name, the cows are coming forward, and Kṛṣṇa, thinking that when it is time to bring them back from the forest, none should be forgotten and counting them on His jewel-beads.”
Why a Rishi Wrote this Slokam? How do we understand this related to Bharath?
Krishna’s was adopted by Nanda and Yashodha. Yadava’s main profession was grazing cows, selling milk, curd and ghee. In Krishna Leela it is said that Nanda owned 900,000 cows and Krishna names each one of them and when they call by their name or herd all will come to him. This is an amazing slokam, if we understand the real meaning of it.
Krishna divided his cows into 4 basic colors. Black, White, Red and Yellow. Under each color he further divided into a group of 25 Herds. So, in total 25 * 4 = 100 Herds. There were also eight herds of cows that were spotted or speckled or had heads shaped like a mridanga or that had tilak marks on their foreheads. 8 more herds. In total 100 + 8 =108 Herds. This number is used in every divine calculation. Now each heard is of 2500 cows. How do you know, each herd has 2500 cows?
Earth tilt is 22.1 To 24.5 degrees as per scientists. Rishis took 22.1 to 24.2 Average is 46.3/2 = 23.15. Now 108 herds * 23.15 degrees tilt = 2500 cows.
2500 cows * 360 degrees of Earth = 900,000 cows.
It seems 108 Herds * 2500 cows = 270,000 cows. Here is the trick that you need to understand brilliance. 900,000/270,000 = 3.3333333… which is same as 360 degrees/ 108 rays = 3.3333333…
Heart Beat is 60 per minute. 60 * 360 degrees =21,600. 21,600/2 = 10800 for 180 degrees.
900,000 cows/10800 = 83.3333333… Degrees. What is this angle means?
It is called 83rd North/South Parallel. From Equator which is 0 degrees, North is the Arctic which is 83.33333 degrees. Same from South it is Antarctic. It represents – 83.3333333 to 83.33333 degrees. Now the top and bottom of earth is mapped as North and South pole.
What is this 900 ,000 cows means? Bharath or India is of 900,000 square miles in surface area when Bhagavatham was written. Rishis considered this region as sacred. So, 900,000 Square Miles/ 108 Herds = 2500 Square Miles. They divided India into 108 divisions, each division is 2500 square miles regions. Each region has a leader or King. Each leader ruled bunch of people and all the creations. Krishan knew each one of them.
