Krrshna Consicence

Krishna consciousness is both the process and attainment of the realization that every living being is an eternal servant of Krishna, and feeling Krishna is the most beloved.Krishna consciousness simply means awakening to Krishna, the all-attractive eternal person whose gorgeous dark form is full of truth and bliss.

Krishna consciousness is the actual perfection of yoga. Sometimes yoga is perceived as a striving for samadhi, or Self-realization, but Krishna consciousness begins practically with samadhi and Self-realization, engaging the Self-

realized soul in eternal spiritual activity serving Krishna.

Krishna consciousness includes realizing one's relationship with Krishna, acting in that relationship, and ultimately attainment of love of Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

Krishna reveals to us in the Gita :

  1. Krishna identifies Himself with Purushottama, the Whole Unified Universe . Here Krishna unifies Kshara (the mutable universe) and Akshara (the eternal Brahman) in Purushottama who has the potential to manifest as both Kshara and Akshara ;and declares : “I AM the Whole Unified Universe”. ( Gita, 15 . 16–20 ) .
  2. This Purushottama Consciousness’ is , in truth, Krishna Consciousness.
  3. About Supreme Love, Devotion and Worship Krishna says;” Performing all actions in Purusottama Consciousness is supreme Love and Devotion.
  4. “ Let go all those rituals, rites and orthodox beliefs; take refuge in Me i. e. Vishwarupa Paramatman ! Abide by the Universal Law of Svakarma — (svadharma - acting in Purushottama Consciousness) . I shall liberate you from all sins.” (Gita, 18 . 66 ) .
  5. Bhagawan Sri Krishna has firmly pointed out :” this Krishna Consciousness can only be attained by receiving’ Divyachakshu’ .from the “Jnaninah Tattvadarshinah”. “Neither Vedas, nor sacrifices ,nor studies ,nor benefactions , nor rituals, nor fearful austeries can give the vision My Vishwarupa.”(Gita, 4 .34 ; 11.48).
  6. Love and devotion of Krishna is to perform our natural duty( Svakarma) selflessly, fearlessly for the welfare f all beings in endless union with Krishna’s Vishwarupa which is ever present before us . This indeed is Krishna Consciousness.

Krishna consciousness can be reawakened through Bhakti yoga practices such as hearing and chanting about Krishna. This process brings love (bhakti), which attracts Krishna and allows the devotee to develop their own unique relationship with him.
