Types of Vishnus

Maha Vishnu - He is the main vishnu and ultimate purusha or masculine force in this OM Universe. He lives in Upasarga Anantha Bhrahmmamdam ocean, in meditative trance creating and maintaining trillions of universes. He is in this pose because of the best energy flow from toes to finger tips. This flow of energy from one end to other is key for universe maintenance. Here he creates with exhalation and destroys with help of Siva during inhalation. He keeps everything in perfect balance for creations to be alive and thriving.

Gharbhodhaka Vishnu - This is the ocean at the bottom of every universe, which occupies 30% of the universe 70% is above. He is in meditative trans and through his navel, Brahmma given birth in lotus. The lotus all the way extends to the top of om universe. Brahmma tried to climb down, when he was a baby and all alone in the darkest universe. Many chathur yugas gone, still he couldn’t reach the ocean. So he went up again. Imagine how big is our universe.

Ksheera Sagara or ViyadgaGha Vishnu  - The vaikuntam that we are trying to reach is in the middle of our milky way galaxy which is also called blackhole. ViyadgaGha means galaxies. So in every blackhole of galaxies in our universe Vishnu is residing. Imagine how many trillions. If we are blessed, we reach our galaxy Vaikuntam, where you will have vishnu dharshanam like Tirumala. In this vaikuntam, like we go to tirumala, people visit vishnu temple. Here it is more lively dharshan of anantha shesha on Milky or cosmic ocean, vishnu with his full attire, lakshmi and Brahmma through his navel.

Avatar Vishnu - this is mirror image of vishnu. He incarnates in all 14 lokas as needed. This the best way to be with the god. Vishnu when needed for earth to thrive and protect, he will take avatars on earth. All dasavatharams are these. He is the reflection/clone of Maha Vishnu. The avatars are manifestations of divine expressions. Each one of them has its own significance and necessity for incarnation. They have their limitations and karma to accomplish what they intended to be.

Vishnu Chinta/ Dasa- This is the vishnu whom you always pray with utmost devotion. Bhakthi is one of the ultimate ways to reach Vishnu for salvation. We are here for an experience, in that the best thing to be blessed with is Vishnu Dharsanam and understanding his leelas. The aanandam that we feel when in complete chinta or thinking of him all the time in all situations is in inexplicable but only can be experienced. Many yogis and Rishis were blessed to be enlightened in this meditative state.

Vishnu in Temples - This where Vishnu’s beautiful reflection lives. All temples are his abodes. By going to temple and praying, our divinity multiplies. From enlightened to common souls all surrender or sarannagathi here. Many of us wonder why we go to temple and pray a carved rock. The personification brings the idol to life with attributes of Vishnu who unimaginably lives far far way from us. The soul which connected to every aspect of this OM Universe will shatter the maya and realize its connection to Maha Vishnu.

All in all if you keep thinking in every breath any of these Vishnus, he is always with you to lead you in spiritual journey.

Dimensions Wise: 8(Earth) + 7 Vishnus = 15 again Vishnu
