The Sudarshana Chakra (Sanskrit:सुदर्शन चक्र) is a spinning, disk-like weapon literally meaning"Disk of Auspicious Vision", having 108 serrated edges used by Vishnu or Krishna.

What is the internal and real meaning of this Chakram? Krishna is the one who used it most of the times in Mahabharath war. Krishna nemesis Shishupala was killed by chakra when he exceeded his sins by abusing and cursing Krishna. There are numerous stories how Vishnu releases his chakra to kill demons and it is so powerful.
The true meaning of it is, the brightly shinning conscience in the form disk kills or destroys the ignorance or maya in a human and opens his mind towards divine eternal truths.
Any star in the sky including our sun represents the brightly shinning conscience. It is impossible to withstand the sun's true brightness. The best way the conscience can shine as 360 degree object is 360/108= 3.3333... degrees. These 108 rays each is called as Eternal ray or GO Matha. One ray or cow has immense conscience eternal truths. To be blessed with one GO Matha is biggest achievement as a human. Imagine 108 GOs.
Blessed with one cow, a human ignorance is shattered. When Krishna released his sudharshana chakram means that person fully blessed with 108 GO Mathas, his maya and ignorance is killed or shattered and Vishnu blessed him with full divine conscience.
When we pray to Chakram, we are praying to kill/destroy our ignorances and maya, be blessed with brightly shinning divine conscience like sun.
